Yes, that’s Orion over there,
the three studs of the belt
clearly lined up just off the horizon.

And if you turn around you can see
Gemini, very visible tonight,
the twins looking off into space as usual.

That cluster a little higher in the sky
is Cassiopeia sitting in her astral chair
if I’m not mistaken.

And directly overhead,
isn’t that Virginia Woolf
slipping along the River Ouse

in her inflatable canoe?
See the wide-brimmed hat and there,
the outline of the paddle, raised and dripping stars?

Talk about cherry picking your cover blurbs. The Old Man of Providence actually wrote:
The King in Yellow, a series of vaguely connected short stories having as a background a monstrous and suppressed book whose perusal brings fright, madness, and spectral tragedy, really achieves notable heights of cosmic fear in spite of uneven interest and a somewhat trivial and affected cultivation of the Gallic studio atmosphere made popular by Du Maurier’s Trilby.

A couple of months ago I worked on the cover and interior art for the Venture Bros Season 5 DVD/BD packaging. The cover and all of the little design elements were drawn by me and painted by VB background painter Chris Fisher; the cover design was by Jackson Publick.
I’ll post all of the interior pieces I did when it hits the shelves in March.

To be honest, I didn’t pay VB very much attention this year (at least compared to my Jungian exegesis of prior seasons) so I’m looking forward to picking up a copy of this next month and reconsidering it. Also, need to get in touch with my inner Hank.

Lemme know if you want to pick it over, I watched these about 30x this summer.

Hmm looks like I need either a camera stand or just to scan it if I want to put up sketchbookery. That pic is too blurry for Surrey.

Ahhh the infamous rat catcher, beloved low level career in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. Like dying in Traveller character generation, and D&D 1st level characters being killed by cats, the rat catcher is known and even cherished by gamers who have never actually had this happen to them.
